One of the core values at Freedom Church is generosity.  We talk about it, celebrate it, and encourage people to get in on the exhilarating ride that is living a generous life.

With that in mind, it’s been an exciting thing to watch people begin to embrace that culture.  I’ve heard story after story of people giving to the needs of others.  Then, those who have been the beneficiary of generosity have turned around and blessed someone else.

In addition, our giving at Freedom has been better than it has ever been.  As a matter of fact, our giving is up well over 100% from this time last year.  Not only that, we have experienced our best week of giving every Sunday consecutively for the past 5 weeks.

I am proud of what God is doing in the lives of our people.  We have a long way to go, but it’s great to see movement in the right direction – all so that people far from God will experience life in Christ!

This is all I am going to say.  This is the centerpiece of the entire series and it’s a week you can’t miss.

Be there. Plain and simple.

Gratitude has definitely been brought to the forefront of my mind during the Thanksgiving season.  This is a very good thing because gratitude does a couple things for me…

• It keeps things in perspective. 
• It’s a breeding ground for generosity (generosity is always cultivated in the context of gratitude).

Here are a few things I noticed yesterday that I am thankful for…

• Set-Up and Tear-down crew.  They make it happen every week- regardless of the weather.
• Parking Crew – Walking people from their cars to the doors with huge umbrellas to help keep people dry.
• Technology – Several years ago it would have been impossible to do what we did at Freedom yesterday.

I am grateful for Freedom Church.

You have gone insanely overboard with this Pastors Apprec. month thing!

Thank you for the tickets, cards, gifts, FOOD, etc., etc., etc.  Seriously, at the beginning of this journey we said that we desired to develop a culture of generosity.   It looks like we are well on our way!
