THR3E

I am going to be traveling this afternoon to Charlotte for THR3E. It’s going to be a great event.

Pastor Steven and the crew from Elevation have already made a substantial investment in my life personally and in the life of Freedom Church. I am grateful for the relationship we have with those guys and look forward to what God has in store over the next 24 hours.

Not to mention, it’s always fun traveling with Michael and Gary. I foresee many interesting conversations in our future!

Let’s be honest

I think Freedom Church is the best church in this area. I really do. I’m not saying that to stir the waters or because I am arrogant. I am saying it because I believe it to be true. Sounds strange doesn’t it? Who actually puts that in print for all of blog-world to see?

Let’s be honest. Wouldn’t we be much better off if every Pastor thought their church was the best on the planet? What’s the alternative? If I am the Pastor of a church operating in deficiency – shouldn’t I do everything I possibly can to change the culture and correct the issue? That’s not arrogance – that is leadership.

I have great friends that lead great churches right down the street from Freedom. I pray for them, hang out with them, believe in them, and I hope (and know) that they believe that THEIR church is the greatest church on the planet. That’s the way it should be. If you don’t think your church is the best…what’s keeping it from getting there? Maybe that’s the exact thing that God is calling you to address.

Don’t apologize for the desire to become the best (whether personally or professionally). Lives are at stake. Hell is very real and we don’t know how much time we have. Not to mention, false humility is just as repugnant as pride.

Since I am on my way to Unleash as you read this – I figured I would let you know one additional event that I am very excited about…

I’ve been extremely privileged to have some phenomenal leaders pour into my life. One of those leaders is Pastor Steven Furtick. He has been a friend of mine and Freedom Church since before we even began. I’ve spent hours on the phone or at a restaurant with him and I always walk away extremely challenged.Pastor Steven is a “capacity increaser” in my life and actually serves on our Board of Overseers. He is the real deal.

The story of Elevation Church is one that can’t be explained by anything short of the favor of God. It’s unreal what God is doing! If you lead a church (whether old or young), make it a priority to attend their one day event called Thr3e. So rather than asking me to hook you up for a meeting – take advantage of this opportunity and do yourself a favor – and get to this one-day event.

Unleash

I can’t wait to get to Anderson, SC for Unleash! Perry Noble is the real deal and I am pumped about sitting under his teaching every time I get the opportunity. He has made a tremendous investment in my life and in the life of Freedom Church – and is definitely one of the most Kingdom-minded people I know. If you haven’t signed up yet – it’s probably too late – but try it anyway. If that doesn’t work, show up at the church, hide in the bushes, and kick the smallest church planter you can find until he gives you his ticket Just get there!
