Sometimes the ideas, dreams, and vision that God has put in our mind regarding Freedom Church seem insane! There are things that we are already discussing that usually don’t even enter the conversation for quite some time if at all in the life of a church. Are we getting ahead of ourselves? I don’t think so…
I just believe that if God is behind this whole Freedom Church thing – than we have no choice but to rapidly advance. There is no stopping what He wants to do. Some people say to “slow down and wait on God”…I am convinced that He is not lagging behind hoping that I will slow down so that He can catch up! He is out front – leading us in the direction we should go – and we are doing everything we can to follow His lead and keep up with His pace.

Todd and I went this morning to hang out with Brian Bloye from Westridge.
He was awesome to hang out with and we were able to learn a ton! I didn’t stop writing the entire time we were there.
As a side note, while talking with Brian I learned that Pine Ridge’s own, Tadd Grandstaff, use to be a rapper (6th or 7th grade)! Can’t beat that! Tadd, I ALMOST had a great picture to post…maybe one of these days!

We had another HUGE answer to prayer again today that will save us a LOT of money.
The administration at North Metro Tech is really going out of there way to make us feel welcome, and they are doing a great job!
I am looking forward to partnering with them even more in the future in order to impact NMT, Acworth, and the surrounding communities.

We are thinking about bringing in Portable Church Industries to do a consultation.
I know a lot of you guys have used PCI before. Before we make our final decision on whether or not to bring them in, I would love to hear about your experience.
Were they beneficial?
Knowing then what you know now….would you use them if you had to do it all over again?
Was it worth it?
Suggestions?
Email me at jrlee30@hotmail.com and let me know what you think. Thanks!

There has been some talk about redefining church membership. Here are my thoughts and what we are leaning towards at Freedom.
Membership – seems like something you would “join” in order to take advantage of the services the organization has to offer (Gold’s Gym). Once the organization didn’t meet your expectations – simply move your membership to one that does (LA Fitness).
Partnership – seems much more meaningful. It adds accountability, expectation, and responsibility. Partnership (marriage, etc.) communicates that you are working together with the organization and/or person to accomplish the same goal, purpose, and passion. It is not something that you just casually walk away from. The mission becomes part of who you are.
As a result, Freedom will not have members. We will have ministry partners. Might seem small, but I think it will make a world of difference.
