Rewind

We kicked off the Summer of 2010!  For this series, we’re moving forward by looking back!

This is the perfect time for you to get your friends, family, and neighbors to check out all that God is doing.  So get ready for some serious flashbacks…and a radical church experience that God could use to change your life forever!

Don’t forget::  We’re meeting at Barber Middle School for the summer while North Cobb High School completes renovations. North Cobb High is doing a great job getting things ready for our arrival on August 8th!

You can get a map to Barber here.  See you Sunday at 9:45 or 11:15!!

Online Giving

I never carry cash.  I probably should – but it’s a very rare occurrence if I have anything except my debit card in my pocket.

For better or worse – many of you operate the same way.  We very rarely carry cash and checks are becoming a thing of the past.  We pay for almost everything online or with our debit card.  As a result, two scenario’s play out ::

1.  I want to give to some one or some thing but lack the capability because I don’t carry cash.
2.  I intend to give but forget to obtain cash or bring a check book.

As a result, we have a way to accommodate people like me.  If you want to give, but are not interested in carrying around a checkbook or stopping at the ATM on the way to church – then take advantage of the options below.  Devin and I did.  It didn’t change our lives forever but it did make for one less thing we had to remember on our way out the door.

Almost MidWeek Review

  • The past couple of weeks our entire staff has been hard at work getting ready to unleash the plan for the next phase of ministry at Freedom Church!
  • I believe that we are preparing for the greatest season that our church has ever experienced.  I am ecstatic about the implications for our people, our church, and our city!
  • This past week we hit “REWIND” and moved back to Barber Middle School while they complete the incredible renovations at our normal location – North Cobb High School!
  • Kicked off the Rewind series by talking about the fact that at times God walks you through the fire rather than delivering you from the fire.  That’s a great truth that needs to be remembered throughout your life.
  • Grateful and proud of our partnership teams at Freedom Church.  We are working on things behind the scenes (we’ll tell you all about it in the days to come) that will greatly increase your capacity as a leader and empower you to live out your God given potential.  Do I need to mention how excited I am about this?
  • Lexi and London both finished another year of school.  Hard to believe that we will have one kid in 3rd grade and another starting Kindergarten!  I love being their dad!
  • I will be reaching a hard-hitting message this week (11:15 only since it’s Memorial Day Weekend).  A lot of people are going to be set free from things that have held them captive for quite some time.
  • See you Sunday at Barber Middle School at 11:15!

Create your culture

Every organization, business, church, and/or family unit has a distinctive culture.  By culture I mean an “unwritten constitution” or set of common beliefs that dictates the decision making process of the individuals involved.

You have two choices:  Create the culture you desire to cultivate from the beginning or wing it and see which culture develops by default.

I suggest you choose wisely.   The ride might still be a little bumpy but it greatly enhances the likelihood of arriving at your desired destination.
