Come Home

This has been one of our most life-changing series to date!  This Sunday will be no exception.

Invite and bring as many people with you as you can this Sunday.  It will be a powerful day!

In the meantime, be praying for God to do His thing this Sunday at 9:45 and 11:15.

DON”T FORGET :: Sunday night at 7PM there will be a huge 50′s party for all our partners at Sparkles Skating Rink.  Pick out your attire and we will see you there!

Satisfied with life?

Genesis 25:8 :: Abraham breathed his last and died in a ripe old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.

What an incredible statement!

I pray that you and I would trust God by living out the purpose for which we were created.  In doing so, this verse could be true of more than just Abraham.  It could be true of us.

MidWeek Review

  • What an incredible Sunday!  9 people gave their life to Christ
  • Outside of Christmas Eve last month – we had our highest attendance ever.  Not bad for a rainy holiday weekend!
  • So proud of what God is doing at Freedom Church in the area of generosity.
  • This has been a life-changing series for so many people and I believe that this Sunday will be the best yet!
  • We have rented out Sparkles Skating Rink for a huge 50′s party this Sunday night at 7PM.  Come dressed up and ready to have a blast.  Interesting fact : We will have more partners at the party than we had people in our church this time last year.
  • 2 Year Anniversary goes down on January 31st at both Worship Experiences!  It’s going to be one heck of a celebration. Get there early!
  • I am so grateful to be part of what God is doing!

Don’t Sell Your Birthright!

Genesis 25:32-33 :: “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” 33 But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.

The short explanation is that a hungry and impulsive Esau sold his birthright (double portion of the family inheritance) for a bowl of soup.  He was willing to endure long term consequences to satisfy an immediate desire.

From our vantage point it looked like a ridiculous decision.  It was, but we are guilty as well.

Sometimes the pressure of the moment distorts our perspective so much that it blinds us to the long term damage our decision will cause.  The desire for a quick fix causes us to take an ill-advised shortcut that circumvents God’s plan for our lives.

Let’s learn from Esau’s mistake and avoid that trap.

Short-term pleasure doesn’t nullify long-term consequences.  Don’t sell your birthright!

Old School Kirk Franklin

I love me some old school Kirk Franklin! This song was one of my favorites...
You don't have to worry
And don't you be afraid
Joy comes in the morning
Troubles they don't last always
For there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away
And if your heart is broken
Just lift your hands and say

I know that I can make it
I know that I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands

With Jesus I can take it
With Him, I know I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands

So when your tests and trials
They seem to get you down
And all your friends and loved ones
Are nowhere to be found
Remember there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away
And if your heart is broken
Just lift your hands and say
