It seems like…
There is a way which seems right to a man, But it’s end is the way of death :: Proberbs 14:12
The notes in a Study Bible that I regularly use sum it up this way:
“The ‘way which seems righ’ may offer many options and require few sacrifices. Easy choices, however, should make us take a second look. Is this solution attractive because it allows me to be lazy? Because it doesn’t ask me to change my life-style? Because it requires no moral restraints? The right choice often requires hard work and self-sacrifice. Don’t be enticed by apparent shortcuts that seem right but end in death.”
Well said.

- Next time our State is in a drought – instead of praying for rain I am just going to take my chances
- We are praying for $100,000 to be given on the night of Christmas Eve for our We Believe – Gift Offering! Pray with us!
- Is God trustworthy? Your level of obedience in giving determines your answer to that question.
- God is greatly challenging me in the area of generosity right now. Wow.
- Devin and I will be married 10 years in October. I know that’s still 10 months away, but it absolutely blows my mind. We got married pretty young but still. Time flies!

Gift Offering
Two years ago the launch team of what would become Freedom Church gave $20,000 in one evening.
We were giving towards a dream that existed in our hearts to begin a church that would stop at nothing so that people far from God could experience life in Christ. God used that night to greatly increase the faith of myself and the 35 adults who “filled” the room. The return on that investment has been incredible.
- 150+ people have come to faith in Christ.
- 100 people have been baptized
- People who have have never been to church in their lives are active and partnering every single week.
- People who haven’t been to church in years have reconnected with God and His divine plan for their lives.
- The list goes on and on…and we aren’t yet 2 years old!
2 years later it is time to step out in faith once again. We Believe that the next 4 months are going to be life-changing.
- Christmas Eve Worship Experiences at 3:30 and 5PM
- January Series – Praying for 100 people to accept Christ
- January 31st – 2 Year Anniversary!
- Several other things are on the books that I will tell you about later!
Be praying about what God would have you give on Christmas Eve! We are praying for $75,000+ in order to have the capital needed to move at the speed of God as opportunities arise in the next several months and to greatly bless our Strategic Mission Partners (Church Planting, Crisis Pregnancy Center, etc) with 10% of every dollar that is given!
It’s an incredible opportunity and I pray that we would be greatly challenged in the area of generosity during this Christmas season. Can’t wait til Christmas Eve! It’s going to be one fantastic celebration!
A great fight!
Genesis 32:24-32 contains an interesting story. It’s not often that a human being is engaged in a wrestling match with an Angel.
The Angel is “trying” to get away, but Jacob won’t let him until the Angel chooses to bless him.
I am by no means an angelologist but I am fairly certain that if the angel wanted to get away he could have. I think the fight was fixed. I believe that the angel wanted to see if Jacob was willing to fight or if he would give up too easily.
I think a lot of people stop fighting just before breakthrough. Hang in there and keep fighting – you may be 5 minutes away from the knockout punch.
