• Another great day on Sunday.
• I can’t express enough how grateful I am to be part of what God is doing at Freedom Church and to be traveling this crazy journey with such great people.
• Had an MRI this week and they said that I broke off a piece of bone/cartilage and it’s floating around in my knee.
• I called a major audible last week on our Christmas Series.  I wasn’t comfortable in the direction we were going.  Now, I couldn’t be more excited about the month of December.
• Go ahead and begin inviting people now to one of two Christmas Eve Worship Experiences at 3:30 and 5PM.  It’s going to be PACKED out and a ton of fun.
• The Freedom Worship CD is almost complete!  CD Release party coming December 13th!!!
• I now am willing to officially endorse another restaurant called “Chow Baby“.  GREAT place!
• I borrowed a Kindle for a few days and so far – I LOVE it.
• This will post on Thursday, but I am writing on Wednesday so hopefully it’s still applicable – Let’s Go Phillies!
• We had a game-changing meeting yesterday at Big-Pic.  Things get crazy in the next several months!
• I believe that God has given me a powerful Word from Him to give this Sunday.  Exciting stuff!

You are passionate!  It might hide behind a few layers of passivity but deep down – passion is there…

There are no truly passionless persons.  True, some of us have been thwarted by disappointment and have turned stoic and cold toward life.  Some of us seem rather passionless, having adopted passivity as a way of life. Yet, although some passions may be suppressed, all of us have a group of innate passions which are given to men and women alike, though sometimes in different quantity, scale, and intensity.  (Perilous Pursuits by Joseph Stowell)

Don’t run from the passion that God has placed inside you.  Embrace it and use it for the glory of God and for the good of others!

Here are a few books that I am currently reading…

Prodigal God – I am reading this book as I get ready for a series that we are kicking off in January.  Powerful book and it’s going to be a powerful series!

Perilous Pursuits – This book was recommended to me by my friend Pastor Ike Reighard.  At the time I am writing this blog I am only on Chapter 3 but the first two chapters were fantastic.  Every leader needs to read this book – even if the rest is terrible – the first two chapters were worth the read.

Don’t Just Stand There, Pray Something – I am reading about a Chapter a day on this one.  Full of some great thoughts on (you guessed it), prayer.  If you have people in your life that you desire to consistently pray for – this book can show you how to do that effectively.

The Dip – This is a super short book that I will have most likely finished before you even read this.  Great leadership book that you need to pick up.

Why Great Men Fall - I’ve been meaning to read this for a while and finally picked it up.  Great insight into the mind of men.  The importance of integrity can’t be overstated.  I take it seriously and want to do everything I can to live a life of integrity.

Biblical Preaching – I will probably have a preaching book with me for the rest of my life.  I have a long way to go when it comes to communication and I want to be as effective as possible in sharing the most important message anyone could ever hear.
