Freedom Worship

I have no doubt that we have one of the most talented Worship teams that exist anywhere in the church world.  They are great musicians, talented songwriters AND great leaders.  You might be surprised at how rare of a combination that really is.  I couldn’t be more proud of the team that God has put together!

We’ve been preparing to get them into the studio for about a year now and in two weeks – the dream becomes reality!  We’ve teamed up with one of the most prolific producers in the music industry and I can’t wait to hear what they come up with.

The album will chronicle the incredible journey that God has brought Freedom Church on over the course of the first 18 months. “Let It Resound” is the title and here is a sneak peak at what you will hear:

  1. Revolution
  2. Let It Resound
  3. Our Victory
  4. Bring You Praise
  5. Shout Your Name
  6. God Of Mercy
  7. Reign On High
  8. How Great Is Your Love
  9. Confess & Believe
  10. Our Surrender

EMT

This past week a pregnant lady in our 9:30 Worship Experience was having a few medical issues.  They called a guy that is an EMT to come check her out and make sure everything was good.

Since he was already there – he decided to stick around for the 11:00 Worship Experience.  In honor of our series “Old Time Religion” we did an old-fashioned “tent-revival” style invitation.  Sure enough, with dozens of people coming forward, this EMT was in the mix walking to the front in order to give his life to Christ.

Love stories like this…

P.S. – the lady with the medical issues is doing great. No worries…

OTR Week 4

Old Time Religion

Week 4 of OTR kicks off this Sunday.

Last week was an incredible week and Sunday will be more of the same.

Don’t forget that I need 100 of you to make the switch and begin attending at 9:30 and partnering at 11. The 11:00 Worship Experience is the most opportune time for First Timers.  Let’s make sure we have room for them as last week we were SLAMMED!

See you at 9:30 or 11:00!

And the winner is…

Here is what I have learned in the past 2 days.  I am a sucker for a good story.

  • One single mom who “will be working til she’s 100 still a slave to her lender” (her own words).  She’s a generous giver already, but wants to do even more and has a passion to teach her kids principles that will enable them to avoid the mistakes she’s made in the past.
  • One young lady will soon be getting married.  They have student loans to pay off and want to get started on the right foot.
  • One family has been commuting to Freedom Church every week from about 90 minutes away.  Actually, their house is on the market and they will be moving our way to be part of what God is doing.  They had a great letter as well, but I am a little partial to those who sell their homes to be part of a movement.

There were more but these were some of the best.

As a result, the winner of the Dave Ramsey Box Set is not going to be one person – it is going to be three!  Enjoy!

MidWeek Review

  • We had a pretty incredible day on Sunday.
  • 35 people accepting Christ made that possible.  Wow!
  • It rained like I haven’t seen it rain in forever!  Our Guest Services teams did a phenomenal job getting people to and from their cars without getting soaking wet.
  • 250 First time guests during the month of August.  Great job Freedom Church!  Keep inviting!
  • London received 4 shots yesterday.  She wasn’t happy, but is sporting the band-aids proudly.
  • Making some progress as we look to hire a full-time Childrens’ Pastor.  Should be making that decision final in the next 2-3 weeks.
  • Can’t wait for this Sunday.  It’s going to be a day that helps SO many people!
  • Football Season begins this week!  Go Canes!
  • We are getting ready to unleash a few things that are going to really help our people make an impact in our community!
  • Still time to get your submission in for the Dave Ramsey give-away.  I’ve received several already – but with a really good email – you still might have a chance.
  • We have a great team at Freedom.  When you see them you should tell them how great of a job they are doing!
  • I have never been more excited about a particular season of ministry than I am about the one we are entering into.  Praying huge prayers right now!  You should to!
