Keep it up!

This is why we do what we do!  I love getting things like this in my inbox.
I’ve been attending Freedom with my husband since March.  I did not have a Christian upbringing and was not sure what I believed…  I wanted to accept Jesus Christ into my own heart I felt like I would be doing it just because I though it was the right thing to do, until April 12, 2009.
It was Easter and all of our boys (there are four) were in attendance.  When you were delivering the message I was so focused that it was like tunnel vision.  I felt a warmth and I felt love and I felt like there was no place else in the world that I should be.  When you asked for those who wished to accept Christ into their hearts to pray with you, I did!
I was baptized at the 9:30 experience this morning with my family and some close friends in attendance.  I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you…
Thanks so much,
Robyn

Keep it up Freedom Church – God is using you to have a significant impact on the lives of people!

You Can’t Handle the Truth!

Wayne Cordeiro wrote that “truth is the foremost axiom of personal development.”

You can’t take shortcuts by going through the land of make-believe.  Your first commetment must be to discover and accept new truths no matter how difficult or how unpleasant they may seem at the time.  You cannot rectify problems if you deny that they exist.

This plays out in a variety of ways:  Maybe your marriage is struggling but it’s easier to ignore than acknowledge.  Maybe you have neglected your body but it’s easier to laugh it off than it is to put down your 7th piece of pizza.  The list goes on and on.

Admitting the truth doesn’t guarantee success, but refusing to do so is sure to guarantee failure. Proverbs 23:23 says, Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding.

Seek the truth even when it hurts – I am sure that you can handle it!

Awakening

awakening Sunday is going to be a great day! We exist so people far from God can experience life in Christ; on Sunday we are celebrating with a bunch of people who have experienced just that!

It’s going to be a huge baptism celebration at both Worship Experiences that you do not want to miss!   See you Sunday! Don’t be late!

MidWeek Review

  • It has been a crazy week!
  • Saturday I talked on the phone with my friend Gary Lamb and he told me about the situation that would be announced on Sunday at Revolution Church.
  • I am committed to pray for Gary and his family as well as the staff and people of Revolution.  Gary is my friend and I will stand beside him as he walks through the the consequences of the sin that has cost him so much.
  • If you think that something like this could never happen to you – than you are probably next!
  • Preaching on Sunday was tough.  I hadn’t told any of our staff at Freedom at that point – and it was difficult to take the stage knowing what was going on 30 minutes away in Canton.
  • To prove my point, I forgot to turn on my mic, didn’t realize that it wasn’t on, and had to scream through the entire 9:30 worship experience.  Good thing I naturally talk VERY loud.
  • Michael and his wife showed up at the 9:30.  It was great having them – even at the early worship experience in the summer :)   I’ve already asked him for as much feedback as he is willing to give – since he literally wrote a book on church planting!
  • I’ve met a couple great guys lately over the phone that I really respect – Pastors John Siebeling and Jason Bolin.  Both are leading great churches and I am looking forward to getting to know them better in the days ahead.
  • My oldest daughter (7) accepted Christ on Sunday!  That made a difficult day MUCH better!  I get to baptize her this coming Sunday.  This is an answer to prayer that began before she was even born!
  • Speaking of Baptism – if you haven’t signed up yet it isn’t too late.  Email Corey at corey@freedomlive.net
  • Sunday is going to be crazy!  We are praying for 50+ people to be baptized that day!  Pray with us!

This Sunday, June 14th, we will be having our 3rd Baptism Celebration at both 9:30 and 11:00.  If you’ve never experienced baptism at Freedom Church before – just know that it’s something you don’t want to miss.

If you want to be baptized – you can get more information by emailing Corey@freedomlive.net.  It’s going to be a ton of fun.   See you Sunday!
