People use to say “don’t sacrifice your family on the altar of business, ministry.“ It’s a pretty common saying. I am sure that statement came in response to a culture that greatly needed to hear it.
Now, the pendulum has swung to the other side.
The statement is still true, but most people need to hear it in reverse. “Don’t sacrifice your business and/or ministry on the altar of family.“ It doesn’t matter how honorable it sounds, laziness is not a virtue – no matter how you try to disguise it.

- Tense day at Freedom on Sunday!
- Talking about the fact that God killed two people for lying in the middle of church typically makes for an interesting atmosphere (Acts 5)
- Thr3e was great. More to come on that later.
- Momentum at Freedom is moving strong!
- Newcomers Lunch was Sunday. Love hearing crazy stories of how people heard about Freedom Church.
- One girl invited one guy who invited about 10 people who invited a few more people – and most of them were there on Sunday. One couple invited another couple who invited another couple. One guy invited a lady – while they were in Russia – and they were there on Sunday. Love that!
- Lexi turned 7 this week. Time flies- way too fast.
- This month is going to be a great month in the life of our church
- Back to Lexi’s party…We had around 25 kids, 2 inflatables, and perfect weather. She had a blast.
- Blake and Emily should be having a baby today.
- While I was typing this, I saw a picture of a car sticking out of a house on the news. Thought you should know.
- I can’t wait for Sunday. It’s going to be an incredible day.

Back in October, I read a book that completely changed my perception of generosity.
The book was entitled The Blessed Life and it is a fantastic read! Actually, I loved it so much that I bought about 50 copies and gave them away. Now, almost 6 months later – I want to do it again. If you are in any way affiliated with Freedom – and will leave me a comment and/or an email – I will personally purchase a copy for you to have. That’s a deal you can’t refuse!
If you would love the book, but don’t go to Freedom – check it here.

I am going to be traveling this afternoon to Charlotte for THR3E. It’s going to be a great event.
Pastor Steven and the crew from Elevation have already made a substantial investment in my life personally and in the life of Freedom Church. I am grateful for the relationship we have with those guys and look forward to what God has in store over the next 24 hours.
Not to mention, it’s always fun traveling with Michael and Gary. I foresee many interesting conversations in our future!

This week we pick up with week 3 of Full of It. Grab some friends, neighbors, random strangers, etc. and come hang out at either 9:30 or 11:00. It’s going to be a week that you do not want to miss!
Can’t wait for Sunday!
