I have been waiting for this series to begin for what seems like forever!  In only 2 1 day we kick off week 1 of Let’s Get It On!

Doesn’t matter whether you are married or single. This series is for you!  Make sure to invite everyone that you know and we will see you Sunday.  It’s going to be a lot of fun!

We had a great time with 100 of the incredible partners at Freedom Church last Sunday night.  We rented out Sparkles Roller Rink for an 80′s Party as a small way to express gratitude for all the hard work these people do in order to help people far from God experience life in Christ.  We have an extremely diverse and hilarious group of people and we had a blast!

• Great day @ Freedom Church on Sunday!
• We have already received some incredible feedback from people whose lives have been impacted by this week and/or this past series.
• Yes, we had a grown man on stage in shorts and a bikini top.  I told you not to look
• The 80′s Party was a blast!  Pictures coming soon and will be great blackmail material.
• It was good to reconnect with so many people at the Churchplanters.com conference this week.
• Learned some great stuff and now I have a goal of getting to know Troy Gramling.
• Our billboard went up Monday.  Some people love it and some people think we are out of our minds.
• Let’s Get it On kicks off this week and I have never been more excited about a series.  Never.
• I twittered this last night, but I am going to try and hire Chloe O’Brien to be my assistant. If she can work for Jack Bauer – she can work for me.
• I have to go to the Orthopedic Surgeon on Monday.  My knees are angry for all the running.
• We should have a baby boy in the house within the next 5-6 days.
• We ate at Outback a couple nights ago and I left a notebook that has notes from every meeting I’ve had from the past 7 months.  Todd tracked it down for me the next day which made me very happy.
• Joe Boyd is the biggest church planter I have ever seen.  He’s doing a great job in KS – partly because people are afraid of him.
• I am going to a few meetings today.  Not the kind that change everything, but definitely the kind that will change some things
• I absolutely love Acworth, GA and Freedom Church!
• Have I mentioned how excited I am about Let’s Get It On?

Innovation and creativity are not one time events.  It’s a process that must continuously be refined because the most creative of ideas can become obsolete in a matter of moments.

Seth Godin writes that when driving on a road surrounded by pasture – the only cow that sticks out is the Purple Cow.  “Cows, after you’ve seen them for a while, are boring.  They may be perfect cows, attractive cows, cows with great personalities, cows lit by beautiful light, but they’re still boring.  A purple cow though, Now that would be interesting. (For a while.)”

The length of time you have is negotiable.  It may take years, months, weeks, or even days.  Eventually, your ultra creative idea transitions to a state of normalcy.

The bottom line?  Your purple cow only sticks out until everyone else goes out and buys paint.

We’ve told you that it was coming and the time has finally arrived! This coming Sunday we are going to begin a 5 week series that promises to be our best yet!  Every single week is going to be incredible and a week that you do not want to miss!
